Who we are
We are a Community Sponsorship group based in West Penwith in the far South West of Cornwall, England. We are a diverse and driven team of around 20 volunteers, working towards resettling refugee families in our local community.
Our goal is to resettle refugee families within our community and empower them to rebuild their lives

We are a team of local volunteers, of all ages and from all walks of life, but we all share the same passion: to transform the life of a vulnerable refugee family.
After seeing countless news stories of dangerous sea crossings and human suffering as a result of the refugee crisis in the Middle East, we wanted to take action. In January 2021, we quickly rallied up an eager team of around 20 local volunteers and signed up to the Community Sponsorship scheme. Almost 17 months later, in June 2022, we welcomed a family of seven to their new home in Penwith.
