SUPPORTING THE GROUP How to get involved

If you would like to get involved in our group, please email us on We’d especially love to hear from those who have knowledge and experience working with, or in, local services.

If you don’t have particular knowledge or experience working with refugees, we’d still love to hear from you! We are very interested in engaging with individuals who have connections to the following local services:

– Social workers
– Healthcare professionals
– Those who have experience working with vulnerable persons
– Safeguarding professionals -the local police (particularly racism and community officers)
– A background working with refugees and asylum seekers

Please detail in your email what expertise, knowledge and/or skills you think you’d be able to offer to the group, how much time you are able to realistically commit and what area you’d be most interested in helping with.

Want to help as an organisation?

If you are part of an organisation and would like to support us, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

So far, we have been lucky enough to engage local sponsors including PWH Studio, Down The Line Surf Shop & Moomaid of Zennor.

Your contribution to the project may include, but not be limited to: offering sponsorship on our merchandise (for cross-promotion in return), a simple shout out on your social media pages, donations in the way of clothing, furniture for the house, or your time to join us at fundraising events.

We are always seeking spaces to hold our fundraising events – if you would like to be involved or have services you’d kindly like to offer, please drop us a line on our email!

Want to help with fundraising?

If you are tight for time and can’t make a long-term commitment to the project, but would like to get involved with our fundraising events, we’d love for you to join us this summer.

We are in the process of organising lots of fun and inspiring events in West Penwith over the summer of 2023, and moving into the autumn too.

Our events are both big and small, ranging from community art auctions to surf competitions and coffee mornings.

There’s no contribution of time too small. Please email us at for more information about how to get involved.

Our goal is to resettle refugee families within our community and empower them to rebuild their lives
